House Rules for
No-Limit Texas Hold 'em Poker Tournament
  1. Individuals nineteen [19] years of age or older are eligible to play.
  2. Table seating will be maximum 9 per table & random via seating cards or via tournament software.
  3. The puck [dealer button] will start to the seat to the immediate right of the dealer.
  4. The player left of the dealer button will post a Small Blind with the person immediately to their left posting the Big Blind.
  5. The player to the left of the Big Blind will be first to act. Every player must be dealt a hand even if the chips in their possession are insufficient to place a minimum bet.
  6. Players not at the table during play shall be dealt cards, which will be mucked if the player has not returned to make his/her call when it comes around. If the absent player is in the small or big blind, the blind will be removed from the player's stack and put in the pot.
  7. All tournament players will be given an amount of chips equal to a certain value of points [e.g. 1000 points; note not dollars or currency]. Chips are for the sole use of that guest to participate in the tournament. The chips are not legal tender nor can they be transferred, converted or cashed in. Players may not transfer, give, borrow or exchange chips with other guests. All tournament chips must be returned at the end of the Tournament.
  8. All chips and cards must remain in full view of the other players and dealer at all times.
  9. If a card is accidentally exposed during the deal, it shall be announced by the dealer and made the first burn card. If a second card is exposed during the same deal, it is a misdeal. Once everyone has two hole cards, no misdeals are permitted and dealing errors will be resolved fairly by the dealer or by the Tournament Director.

  10. Bouth Tournaments:
Top ups, $20 each, maximum 5 per person.
  11. Beginner Tournament:
    Anytime round-1 re-enter: $25 for 2000 chips
    Final Top up:
    1000 chips for $20
    2000 chips for $25
    3000 chips for $30
  12. If multiple players are eliminated during a hand their ranking will be determined by the number of chips in their possession prior to the hand. If the players have the exact same amount of chips prior to the hand, they will tie. If there are extra chips, they will be left in the middle and become part of the next pot.
  13. Cards speak for themselves. While mucked cards are not in play, if a player turns over what would be a full house and says "two pair," she/he has a full house in determining the winner of the hand.
  14. All cards will be turned face up once a player is All-in and any action is complete.
  15. Dragon Fundraising & Entertainment Inc., has the discretion to adjust the blinds and/or add an ante if it determines it is necessary to ensure the tournament finishes in a reasonable time.
  16. All players agree to abide by all tournament rules as published and amended.
  17. A guest may be eliminated from play if they violate tournament rules.
  18. Please be polite and exercise proper poker etiquette. This includes, but is not limited to, playing at a reasonable pace, protecting your cards from others' view, not acting out of turn, and not commenting on your mucked cards or on the community cards when play is still in progress.
  19. Any other irregularities that are not addressed within this submission will be decided by the Tournament Director. Any guest who violates the rules or becomes offensive to any other player may be disqualified. This includes being excessively competitive, rude, the use of profanity, or the over consumption of alcohol.
  20. Above all else, enjoy the company, have fun and remember the cause we're supporting.

You may practice now. Choose Quick-Match and then All-in Hold'em.
