Welcome to Shaarei-Beth El
Welcome to Shaarei-Beth El. We are a welcoming Reform synagogue with a sense of tradition and a spirit of openness and acceptance. Located in beautiful downtown Oakville, steps from Lakeshore Road, we are a congregation that fills a broad range of spiritual, educational, and social interests. A small congregation with a big heart, we at Shaarei-Beth El have the ability to connect to each one of our members in a special way. We have a proud past and look forward to a bright future together.
Tzedakah: Whatever your Why, Thank you!
With your donation today, you are helping our congregation continue its mission to pray, sing, celebrate, support, and sustain one another to help make this world a better place.
We’re here for you. We have a wide variety of worship services, educational opportunities, social events, and social justice projects on the go. Please check our calendar to see where you fit in.
Shaarei-Beth El brings the excitement of immersive Jewish experiences to adults and youth to strengthen their Jewish identity and instill Reform Jewish values for the next generations. Our goal is to create an exciting and positive atmosphere for the entire family to find their place in the Jewish community.
Oakville Resiliency Fund at the Oakville Community Foundation
Shaarei Beth El Synagogue gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Oakville Resiliency Fund at the Oakville Community Foundation, a registered charitable public foundation serving the Oakville community (https://www.theocf.org/). This grant supported Shaarei Beth El Synagogue in working with a local small business to ensure its programs and services could run remotely in an efficient and professional manner.
Shaarei-Beth El Synagogue is also supported by the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund and Oakville Community Foundation. This particular funding enabled the Synagogue to deliver packages to seniors over the past 9 months through the grant ‘Supporting Isolated Seniors in our Community’. This grant also contributed to the initial costs to equip Shaarei-Beth El Synagogue with the right technology to provide remote services under the grant ‘Increasing Remote Technology Capacity to Deliver Programs’.
