Yom Hashoah
memorial program with participation of the 5th grade through high school students.
Yom Ha-Shoah is Holocaust Memorial Day. It is a day of mourning that is observed on
the 27th of the Hebrew month of Nisan, about a week after the end of Passover. On Yom
Ha-Shoah we remember the 6 million Jewish people who were murdered by the Nazis in
Europe between the years 1939 and 1945, during World War II. We will kindle six yahrzeit
candles in memory of the 6 million holocaust victims and recall the names of some of the
children who perished.
